covexo GmbH was founded in 2017 by three former students of the University of Mannheim. From the start, our vision was to help companies make the transition to the cloud, so we developed a product called DevCloud. DevCloud was offering hosting for web spaces but instead of using regular hosting infrastructure, DevCloud was built entirely on top of Kubernetes and hosted in the cloud.

Due to increased competition from large cloud providers, we decided to shutdown DevCloud and focus on providing custom software development services and consulting instead. Today, we use our experience from building DevCloud to support other companies in their cloud-native journey. In their time off, our engineers also actively contribute to open-source projects in the Kubernetes ecosystem, regularly attend conferences and give talks on new cloud technologies.
